About Us

Our Philosophy

Dr Adam Blond is a respected Otolaryngologist with his specialised training allowing him to provide high quality services towards all of his patients. In better understanding your medical specialist, Dr Adam Blond, Adam moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2010, with his two daughters and wife. Here, he established a home only walking distance from the beach. When he is not working at the hospital or through his private practice in Cotton Tree, Adam enjoys spending his spare time surfing, kiteboarding or walking his beloved dogs.

Dr Adam Blond has been perusing medicine since 1998 when he began studying a dual degree in Applied Science and Medicine and Surgery, at the University of Queensland. Adam then undertook his postgraduate medical and surgical advanced training within the Queensland health system. After completing his specialist training in Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery (ENT Specialist), Adam undertook a further year of sub-specialised training in Rhinology at the Victorian Eye and Ear hospital. This includes advanced and revision Sinus Surgery and Rhinoplasty specifically on traumatic nasal injury, hence, making him one of the few Rhinology sub-specialists in Queensland. He has extensive paediatric experience, having worked in paediatric ENT at both the Royal Children’s Hospital and Mater Children’s Hospital.

Due to being trained in the public health system in Queensland, Dr Adam Blond has close ties with  other ENT specialists in Queensland. Dr Blond is passionate about the surrounding Sunshine Coast community and thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to engage with each individual patient. He has an extensive background in the public system, in which he was able to give back to his community while training junior doctors in his area of specialty.

Dr Adam Blond cares for a wide range of surgical and medical disorders of the ears, nose and throat for both adults and children. He has a special interest in Rhinoplasty and Sinus Surgery. Adam has a passion for good communication with patients, relatives, referring doctors and allied health practitioners to ensure optimal patient care is received.  Additionally, he believes that everyone should have the opportunity to engage in thoughtful discussion with their medical practitioner, receiving answers, advice and continued understanding surrounding each of their individual medical concerns. Considering this, Adam is especially mindful of his responsibility as a paediatric surgeon, through which he maintains the necessity to effectively communicate with both the child patient and their surrounding parental guardian. Adam offers this continuous service through his 24-hour emergency contact services. Dr Blond is fully compliant with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeon’s Continuing Professional Development Program and a Member of the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.

In addition to his medical services, he is surrounded by lovely staff, who maintain the highest level of service and will aim to provide you with accommodating and responsive services. Please be aware that Dr Blond sometimes has a long wait time and understand that the staff will do their best to organise an appointment with you and Dr Blond in a timely fashion. If however, your appointment is urgent, communicate with your medical practitioner for an urgent referral and Dr Blond will be sure to make an availability at his next convenience. If you have any questions about Dr Blond or his services don’t hesitate to contact his practice.
